Colonie General information: The Adirondack Northway (I87) and Route 7 are fairly busy traffic areas where a high volume of speeding and traffic tickets are issued. In the summer months vistors to the Saratoga and Lake George regions increase the traffic volume as they enter the Northway from Exit 24 of the New York State Thruway.  The speed limit on I87 just north of the twin bridges in the Town of Halfmoon drops from 65 mph to 55 mph. Unsuspecting motorists traveling southbound who are not paying close enough attention to their speed, will undoubtedly receive a ticket.

The Albany International Airport is located in the Town of Colonie, minutes away from the Town Court. The Wolf Road commercial district hosts some of the finest shopping and restaurants in the Capital District.
