Court hours: Vehicle and Traffic matters are generally scheduled for Monday and Thursday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. The Court Clerks are usually available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. (with shortened hours in the summer months).
Court information: The Rotterdam Town Court is located in the Joseph S. Dominelli Public Safety Building with the Rotterdam Police Department. The Court is across from the soccer fields and adjacent to the Jefferson Elementary School.
This Court hears vehicle and traffic matters based on tickets issued by the New York State Police, the Rotterdam Police Officers and the Schenectady County Sheriffs. The Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office prosecutes the speeding and traffic tickets that were issued by the New York State Troopers and the Rotterdam Police Officers. The Sheriffs Deputies prosecute their own tickets.
General Information: Rotterdam was first settled by Dutch immigrants in the 1600s. Rotterdam is the home of the Rotterdam Industrial Park. The Golub Corporation, owner of Price Chopper Supermarkets has its home base in Rotterdam New York. The Town hosts a variety of wonderful Italian restaurants and pizzerias.
